Working this therapy
Hepatitis C treatment is a defined course with a defined endpoint, and payers attach specific criteria to approving it. A course that is interrupted partway is worse than one that is properly set up at the start.
We assemble what the plan requires before submission, keep the prescribing office informed through the decision, and coordinate the fills so the course runs to completion rather than to the first supply problem.
A note on scope. We are a dispensing pharmacy, not an infusion suite. We source the medication, verify it, prepare it and deliver it — your treatment is given at your prescribing practice.
